Yay it's time for the RIP IV Challenge hosted by Carl V at Stainless Steel Droppings. The challenge runs from 1st September until 31st October (although you can start immediately) and the aim is to read books from the following genres:
Mystery
Suspense
Thriller
Dark Fantasy
Gothic
Horror
Supernatural
There are a series of challenge options like with the Once Upon a Time Challenge. I am going to aim to complete Peril the First which involves reading 4 books from the above genres. Now on to the books. There are so many books I have that I want to read for this, I will just have to see how much time I have what with the new kittens.
Hunting Ground - Patricia Briggs
The Rest Falls Away - Colleen Gleason
Heart Shaped Box - Joe Hill
Let the Right One In - John Ajvide Lindqvist
Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay
Pride Prejudice and Zombies - Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith
Generation Dead - Daniel Waters
The Morganville Vampire Books - Rachel Caine
Skarlet - Thomas Emson
The House of the Night series - PC & Kristin Cast
Supernatural Origins (graphic novel)
There are just so many I will stop here, but I am just so excited to get started...

I'm debating about this challenge still...
So glad you are in Rhinoa. It is nice to see Colleen Gleason on your reading pile. It seems odd to me not to have a review or announcement of a new Gardella book during this year's RIP Challenge.
Amanda, don't debate, join us!!! ;)
Join Amanda it will be fuuunn.
Rhinoa I spy a couple of books that are on my list - can't wait to see if you read them.
I'd have been shocked if you didn't join this challenge! lol.. so many books i've never heard of... the reviews will be fun reading from everyone
Oh Colleen Gleason is a great choice. I just love her books!
Good luck and have fun!!
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is fun :) I'm curious to see what you think of it!
You've always got good lists! This time's no different, looking forward to your reviews. Betcha can't read just four!
OH darn. I forgot Gleason and Briggs.
I am working my way through the House of Night series at the moment. They are enjoyable. Not brilliant, but still readable.
Good choices!
Great list. I am a big fan of the Morganville Vampire series. :) It would be nice if I could read the rewrite of Austen, but I am forever on the waiting list for that one.
I read Hunting Ground! I have to wait until March now. *cries* Oh, and I seriously should read some Gleason. I feel bad I fell behind in that series.
Not a fan of the House of Night series... But, people seem to love it! (Or hate it and continue reading it. I have seen that, too.)
Happy reading!
Great list!
Ooh, I have Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and also Heart-Shaped Box, on my pile! I haven't found a copy of Let the Right One In yet, though I saw the movie and really enjoyed it (very stylish, sad, and a bit scary). It's hard to find in book form over here.
My post will be up tomorrow, it's very late, but I wanted to say hi! I've missed you!
PS so jealous you have Hunting Ground. I have to get the first one, and Kailana raves that this series is better than her other one, which I find hard to believe!
I like this list. I need to read Gleason too!
Here is my RIP IV read list
Everyone is reading Let the Right One In but meeeee :( I need to knock 20 books out of the tbr pile quickly so I can get it without breaking the rules :P
Great list! The Morganville books are a lot of fun. :D I wasn't as impressed with the first book in The House of Night series.
Yay you are joining this too! I am probably going with the second peril and maybe I'll complete the challenge this time around - ha.
I hope you'll select Heart Shaped Box. So good and scary!
Great list. Will be interested in your opinion of the Colleen Gleason as it really is time I got around to those.
This is SO my favorite challenge of the year!! And your list is fantastic!! The Colleen Gleason series is really good, and the Morganville Vamps are fun. Not great lit, but a lot of fun, and totally suspenseful.
You have a few on your list that I may have to add to mine as well. Can't wait to read all your reviews!
i love when this challenge is announced. it means fall is almost here. and halloween!
i am going to sign up this year.
Ooooh oooh oooh... you're reading Heart-Shaped Box for this challenge too! Glad we're all doing this! :D
Fabulous list! I should've put Darkly Dreaming Dexter on mine :)
