Classics Challenge

Another day, another challenge. This one is being hosted over at Crazy Cosy Murders and involves reading between 3 and 5 challenges between 1st July and 30th November. As I am trying to get through some classic books this really appeals to me.

My list is:

1) Don Quixote - Miguel de Cervanes Saavedra (I aim to finish the second part)
2) Gilgamesh
3) Iliad - Homer
4) Odyssey - Homer
5) The Complete Tales - Edgar Allan Poe

Tried and failed to read Iliad & Odyssey by Homer, but plan to keep trying. Good luck with the challenge.

Thanks Daisy Cat. I have been reading to read them both for years and it's finally time I got around to it!

That's an ambitious list! I read The Odyssey years ago and loved it. I never got around to reading The Iliad, but maybe someday. And I definitely want to eventually read more by Edgar Allan Poe.

Yay! I'm doing this one too. Great list. I love Poe. You should enjoy that one! The Iliad and The Odyssey, huh? Quite a task there! Good luck!

I had planned to read The Odyssey for Once Upon a Time, but I never got around to it. I vowed to read it before the end of the year, though, so maybe we can compare notes when we both read it.

The rest for your list is great too. This challenge appeals to me because there are far too many classics I haven't read (*coughJaneEyrecough*), but I think it's wiser for me not to join any more challenges right now.

Good luck to you, though! I look forward to reading your thoughts on those books. Hopefully they will motivate me to read more classics in the future.
