Blog Rating

I found this over at Marg's blog Reading Adventures and I put in my blog address to find by blog is rated G for General Audiences. It apparently contains no "bad words" which came as somewhat of a disappointment! I feel a need to spice mine up a bit now ;)

To see your blogs rating go to http://mingle2.com/blog-rating and see who is suitable to read yours...

Oh yeah...I did this yesterday. Apparently I have an NC-17 rating!! I was like Holy Sheet!! Whatever for?? I figured I'd be at least PG-13! Nope....too much talk about death, murder and dying!

Mine is rated R for not seeing any difference between so called "bad" words and the rest of the words in the world.

But! I first saw this on the blog of a gay man, and his was NC-17 for using the words gay and queer. So I hate this homophobic quiz!

Don't stress about it...I got a 'G' rating despite using the word 'fuck' very recently...and this was not the first time. I suspect the computer is a bit dyslexic.

Stephanie : that says a lot about the books you read, I like it!

Dewey : That is disgraceful, I can't be doing with homophobia or any kind of discrimination.

Carl V : Well now there is a swear word on my blog, thanks for being the first :) I know it's childish but I am tempted to put up a post of just swear words, but feel that would be a bit excessive hehe.

Mine is PG, for using "kill" and "death". I have no idea where I used "kill", but I'm sure "death" was when referring to the title of a Neil Gaiman book.

I'm pretty sure that children are aware that death exists, and also, the use of those words doesn't necessarily imply violence. But yeah,it's not nearly as bad as considering "gay" and "queer" bad words!

I got a G too. I can't believe some general words are seen to be 'bad'.

Rhinoa, I felt the same way. Mine was G for having "To Kill a Mockingbird." :)
